CONGRATULATIONS TO THE LTC STUDENT CHAPTER OF SHRM!!!!
We have been named as a recipient of the prestigious Superior Merit Award by SHRM!
What a GREAT reflection on an AWESOME year - this is a huge step in our continuing drive towards both professional and academic excellence in the field of Human Resource Management! I am truly looking forward to the 2010-2011 school year and another successful pursuit of superior recognition!
Many thanks go out to our Executive Board from last year: President Heide Huhn-Hickey, Vice President Emmy VandenLangenberg, Secretary Katy Amann, and Treasurer Rhiannon Bakker. In addition, we had significant help from our HR Games Executive Board Coach Angela Koenig and our Merit Points Coordinator Tina Theobald!
And, needless to say, all of the members - each shared in the effort with their attendance at meetings, their dedication to our projects and programs, and their involvement with both the SA SHRM and LAHRA meetings!
GREAT WORK EVERYONE!

LTC SHRM Club Takes Silver Medal!
The LTC Student Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management recently placed second in the Wisconsin State HR Games. The games were held at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh on March 5 and 6, 2010. The competition featured 20 teams representing 12 colleges/universities from the state. LTC was the ONLY 2 year institution in the field. The games were based on the SHRM “Body of Knowledge” and questions were presented in a “Jeopardy” format.
The LTC Team featured four students: Katy Amann, Heide Huhn-Hickey, Angela Koenig, and Emmy VandenLangenberg. With this finish (second only to UW Madison), the team is eligible to compete in the North Central Regional HR Games to be held at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN on April 24 and 25, 2010. GO LTC!!!
